The challenges of indirect purchasing are less in the complexity but rather in the\ndecentralized procurement and the multitude of items and services that is processed via\nPurchasing only in an insufficient or not centralized manner.<\/em><\/p>\n

From experience we know that the purchase of indirect goods and services hides a large\nsavings potential. Expenses in the indirect area usually play an only subordinate role with\nregard to the goal and the overall success of Purchasing \u2013 unfortunately. The expenses in the\nindirect area are often neglected. That\u2019s a pity since an optimization has an immediately\nnoticeable and short-term impact on the annual result.<\/em><\/p>\n

The purchase processes in indirect purchasing are often managed by the special\ndepartments (e.g. marketing, logistics, facility management, IT). These departments\ndetermine the specification, decide beforehand and purchase in a largely independent\nmanner \u2013 separately from Purchasing. The influence, the competency and the levers of\nPurchasing often remain absolutely unused.<\/em><\/p>\n
